Sand Dams Worldwide is a proud member of Remember a Charity who run the annual Remember a Charity Week which takes place every September (this year from the 8th-14th). It is a time when over 200 charities team up to raise awareness of legacy giving and the difference you can make by leaving a charitable gift to a cause close to your heart.

This year, Remember a Charity's 'Be Remembered' campaign is asked everyone, how would you like to be remembered?

For those unaware of 'legacy giving', or those who would like to leave a charitable donation in their Will but are unsure where to start, Remember a Charity and Sand Dams Worldwide are here to provide further information, help increase understanding of gifts in Wills and make this type of donation accessible to anyone.

Here is what Sand Dams Worldwide lined up for this year's Remember a Charity Week:

Monday 8th September: Blog – ‘A lasting gift for future generations’ 

SDW Communications Manager, Dwain Lucktung, blogged about the lasting impact such gifts in Wills can make to those living in some of the driest, poorest regions of the world, and thanked all those who have or may consider leaving a donation towards a sand dam project in their Will. Tuesday 9th September: Free live webinar and Q&A with Sand Dams Worldwide

Wednesday 10th September: Column in The Guardian

Once more, Sand Dams Worldwide featured in The Guardian’s ‘Your Later Life’ centrefold supplement. If you didn't manage to pick up a copy, you can still read the column here on page 9.

Thursday 11th September: Sand Dams Worldwide Team Quiz

As part of our own internal training on legacy giving, the staff of Sand Dams Worldwide took part in another fun legacy giving quiz. This year the quiz crown went to Programmes Manager Sophie Wotton who won it in a nail-biting tiebreak!

Friday 12th September: Sand dams word search
