This September, I’ll be travelling to Kenya as part of a Barclays‑supported expedition with Sand Dams Worldwide. Growing up with easy access to clean water, it’s eye‑opening to learn that for many rural Kenyan communities, water means long walks and serious health risks. Seeing this reality firsthand — and being able to help in a practical way — is something that truly matters to me.

Sand dams are a simple but powerful solution, storing clean water beneath riverbeds so communities can rely on it year‑round.
