I’m Abilash, and I’m fundraising as part of the Barclays Sand Dam Expedition 2026, travelling to southeast Kenya to help build a sand dam with local communities. This simple, long‑lasting water solution will give families in one of the world’s driest regions reliable access to clean water close to home, supporting better health, food security, and climate‑resilient livelihoods for years to come.

I’ve chosen this expedition because I want to use my time and energy for something practical and lasting, working side‑by‑side with the people who will benefit directly from the project.
