Advent of Change: best-selling Christmas charity range is back for 2022

Sand Dams Worldwide is proud to be part of the innovative product line-up from Advent of Change over Christmas 2022.

We are pleased to announce that we are part of a unique product line-up for Christmas 2022, alongside 23 other charities. The feel-good festive range has been revealed in partnership with John Lewis by the non-profit social enterprise, Advent of Change, which pioneered the UK’s first advent calendar with a charity behind each door.

The inspiring charity-focused collection has now expanded to include an innovative range of products with unique ways to donate, from festive scented candles to Christmas crackers filled with celebrity jokes. Sand Dams Worldwide are proud to join the Advent of Change movement, as part of the premium advent calendar, gift candle and sets of crackers.

Premium Advent Calendar

We are proud to have been included in the original calendar, which is back for Christmas 2022. This latest edition of the best-selling advent calendar donates £1 to each of the 24 amazing charities; local, national and international.

With a stunning aesthetic and muted colour palette, this premium advent calendar, which is completely plastic-free, helps to give more with just one purchase.

Christmas Crackers

We’re pleased to be included in Advent of Change’s most requested product for 2021, which is back with a bang – these Christmas crackers available in silver or red really bring charity to the table, donating £2 per cracker to six wonderful charities, including Sand Dams Worldwide. Pull the cracker and find out how your donation has helped those in need and read the side-splitting joke provided by celebrities such as Lorraine Kelly, Harry Hill and Joanna Lumley. Not forgetting the all-important paper hat to make your charity Christmas cracker experience complete.

Advent of Change’s commitment to sustainability means the crackers are all fully recyclable or compostable, plastic-free and designed to minimise waste and impact on the environment.

Scented Candle

Designed as the perfect gift to keep the Advent of Change giving spirit alive well into the festive period and beyond, we’re delighted to have been included in the luxury scented candle.

As your advent candle, scented with notes of eucalyptus and lime, burns down, it will reveal 12 stars, each of which represents a different charity, including Sand Dams Worldwide. A miniature booklet accompanies the candle to offer details of each of the different charities.

Made from 100 per cent natural wax with no parabens, the candle is manufactured in the UK from raw materials and not tested on animals.

About Advent of Change

Advent of Change began with founder Kristina’s idea to reverse the consumerist nature of Christmas and bring back the giving spirit, but it quickly captured the imagination of many others.

The pioneering concept has captured the hearts of many across the UK, and has raised over £700,000 for 100 different charities since 2018, aiding a variety of causes from protecting our oceans, to providing medicines and support to those in need.

With new research from the Charities Aid Foundation (UK Giving Report, 2022) estimating that 4.9m fewer people donated to charity in 2022, the non-profit organisation hopes to spread the spirit of giving more than ever this Christmas – encouraging those who can, to swap chocolate for charity this year.
