With expertise in natural resource management, including forestry, fisheries, water, and sand, she previously worked with a sub-national agency regulating sand mining in Kenya. Her research focuses on the impact of river sand mining on alluvial water aquifers, dryland livelihoods, and water resource resilience in changing climates. Her work aims to identify pathways for sustainable natural resource use and conservation.
